The Story of Tracey's Pantry

The name honours the memory of Tracey Day – a past member of our Church who loved providing meals for friends and anyone in need. Devoted volunteers source the food from various places during the week – some of our local shops are very supportive, as are friends with produce or goods to spare. Fridays from 1 – 3 we pack the boxes with non-perishable foods, milk, bread, fruit and vegs and frozen meals and offer them to anyone in need for a nominal cost of $10, just to offset costs.

When a need arises for food during the week, there is always food available in the Pantry, carrying on the legacy of caring and generosity.  We always try to chat to our clients and listen to their needs. Sometimes the chat is as meaningful as the food. With more calls on us every week, partly due to the rising costs in the Supermarkets, we hope to be able to fulfil our mission of caring and sharing.

Tracey’s Pantry is open every Friday between 1.00pm and 3.00pm behind the Op Shop
